Buckden Roundabout
September 2018
It’s nearly time to open the doors of Preschool once again
and start a new school year. We are looking forward to wel-
coming our new starters and hearing how our leavers are
getting on at their ‘big’ schools.
As usual, we haven’t been idle over the summer holidays.
We are always striving to improve and expand the facilities,
opportunities and activities that we offer the children, and
returning children and their families will notice some chang-
es in the look and layout of Preschool. We hope it will meet
with their approval!
In this first half-term, our themes are focused on the chil-
dren themselves: their likes and interests, their family and
friends, the house they live in, their pets and their aware-
ness of the town or village they live in and the environment
around them.
Many young children don’t know their address and follow-
ing on from our People Who Help Us topic last term, we will
be working on this with them so that if they need to give
their address to the emergency services, they will know it
off by heart.
We now have very limited places available for 2-year-olds in
September, but there are still places available for children
3+. Do get in touch using the contact details below to book
a visit if you’re considering applying for a place. There is also
a waiting list form on the admission page on our website.
Finally, you may have heard that we had an Ofsted inspec-
tion near the end of term. The Inspector said she had had a
lovely day with us – high praise indeed! – and the com-
mittee and staff were very pleased with the result, which
was a very solid Good.
